Alaska Airlines Crash. Not a confidence builder.

I was just watching CNN while eating lunch and saw that an Alaskan Air flight had crashed off the Southern California coast yesterday afternoon. I think the plane was an MD-10 -- I believe that's what they call it. Pilot reported control problems and asked for emergency landing at LAX. Couldn't make it and augered into the Pacific.

We will be leaving Reno tomorrow AM on an Alaskan Air MD-10.

Fate is the hunter.

Not to worry uncle Bill ---I believe what will happen will happen. It is already written.---If you could go back a few years or so ago and ask, I wonder what would happen to that plane etc., you would know the answer.

! No worries, though.
Your plane will get the thouroughest inpection ever now. All eyes are on Alaska Airlines now, and if just for PR their people will be working overtime to make sure it won't happen again. Our prayers are with you.

There is a link in the survival sources thread in the wilderness forum that has a source for fire resistent clothing. My plane crashes occur during take off and landing and such items might come in handy.
