Alaska Blade Trader

My first post here.

My wife got me an Alaskan Blade trader as a gift. She was so excited that I cannot return it. Im afraid that if I use it , the blade will fall out injuring me . Anybody here know how reliable the locking system is. Looks dangerous to me.

Its actually quite reliable,although i agree it seems flimsy,its really well built and thought out,I actually gave mine to a friend who is a bear guide,he uses it a lot and so far has not had any issues whatsoever with the locking system or edge retention.
