Alaska Forest Service: World Record Grizzly

This picture has been floating around for a couple years.

The first time I saw it the shooter was supposed to some guy in the Air Force.
I have read 3-4 different stories about this guy and his awsome bear. The weight of this bear in these stories has varied from 1100-1600+ lbs. The gun has been a 7 mm mag, a .300 mag, a .338 mag....Who knows what the true story is...but it truly is a B-I-G bear!

I think the last thing I heard was that the true weight was supposed to be 900-1000 lbs and definitely was not a record animal.
