How does one go about removing the 'Alaska Guide' emblem from a Cabela's 110??

Thanks in advance.

I scraped mine off with a Case baby doc. Not a scratch to the AG blade. I know some others have a chemical method that might be better.

I removed mine with paint stripper. Afterwards, I wished I hadn't. Made that S30V one a little quicker to pick out of the herd. I miss the logo.

I'm one that personally likes the logo. If mine hadnt started wearing off I would of kept it on. If I get a looker it will stay one. I think its kind of cool looking.

I guess I should have clarified. I removed the logo from my user, but kept the logo on my accumulation specimen. I don't mind the logo, but previous threads on this subject drove me to scrape one off. Kind of neat to compare the AG to the BP without the logo.

I never removed the logo form any of mine. I like the way the yellow looks on the black coated blade;)

I obviously gotta use the other AG 110 more, to see if I can wear the logo off :D

I wore it off on the Vanguard not the 110. I used the Vanguard alot harder than the 110. The finish on it was scratched up pretty bad too. But that was one of the AG with the lighter colored coatings. I have two Ag 110 with two differant color coatings. My user has a glossy black while my looker has more of a gray finish. The Vanguard was one with the grayer finish.

One of my AG 110's has that shiny black finish. Makes them interesting to look at. There was some threads once about those different finishes on the AG's. I won't have time now to see if I can drag that thread up.

So much going on right now.

Can't remember what was said about those different finishes on the blades.

I remember that thread. I think I was involved in it. If I remember correctly the duller finish was some of the ones that came out first. But I'm not positive on this. I do remember that the newer AG Vanguards were finished a little more (rounded edges on the spine)than the older ones so that the coating would adhere better. This could be the reason for the darker coating also, but not sure. I remeber about the rounded spine because I was the one belly aching about it until CJ Buck checked into it and so I stopped complaining. I still the the square spine looks better but its just me. Now on both 110s there is no coating on the spine but highly polished finish.

I'm with JB4570 and Kyhunt, I like it and hope it stays on the blade as I use it. I espically like the Dall ram's head on the sheath. DM
