I generally just lurk around and soak up all the fantastic information and enjoy all the great photos you guys (and gals) post in this forum. I thought I would post a few photos I took up in Alaska since that state seems to be under-represented. These are nothing fancy and were taken with my camera phone, but it is something to look at anyways.
This is a boardwalk across the muskeg (swamp land) just south of Petersburg. The trail leads to a great fishing hole, but the area is closed to all salmon fishing right now due to low returns.
A view of Frederick Sound, just north of Petersburg. You can't see it in the picture, but LeConte glacier is way over there on the other side of the sound. On the right side of the photo you can see a bunch of icebergs floating around.
I don't know what kind of shroom this is...mostly just playing with the camera.
Lots of rain this year and the water is moving fast...too fast to fish very well.
Some of the blueberries that are just starting to ripen in full force.
