Kudo's to Buck for creating a series of knives of standard model designs with a premium, S30V steel. What a great way to get some of the favorites, i.e. 110, 119, crosslock, and alpha hunters with a steel that is unavailable anywhere else. I don't want to risk any forum inpropriety, so I won't name where I found them without permission. If anyone is interested email me at b.bentley@comcast.net and I will let you know where to check them out. I will be happy to post it here if given permission by Joe.

Are there any other hidden nuggets that we don't know about?

Thanks Again guys.

Brian

You see these exclusives from time to time, they are only available from the one distributer, made just for them.

Dont worry about pointing it out, its over on Cabelas website. I personally am going to go for a 110 in S30V.

:barf: Too bad about the coated blades, it makes them look cheap.

I'd love a mini-alpha in uncoated S30V.

I've got a 110 ordered. Man S30V with cryo treat. If this holds an edge like my cryo treated D2 knives, those of you who order any of the series are in for a treat. You'll never want a knife without cryo treat again. Believe me it does make a difference ;)

The coating that is on the is the same coating that Buck was using with its Ionfusion series, and it is some tough stuff.

 I've got two good ionfusion preformers and one the ionfusion coating started coming off on. I think the coating is supposed to keep the knife sharper 5 times longer than regular. Be careful though, Buck doesn't warranty the coating! Even though the same warranty paperwork comes in the box.

Is the metal and coatng on these better than ionfusion?
