Hi, i've just receive my alaskan 110, read carefully the notice enclosed and saw that the edge 2X is within 26° and 32°. For the maintenance of the edge i own a Lansky sharpening system which offer a range of 4 angles 17,20,25 and 30°.i deducted that i have to use an angle of 17° for a total of 34° like the genuine sharpening.I thought that this small angle was reserved for razor blades.Does anybody try an upper angle or have i to hold the genuine bevel? (For information i gave a total bevel within 50° and 60° to all my knives differents of Buck).
Thank you for your reply.

I normally sharpen my 1987 Ranger free hand.

If you have trouble sharpening or deciding to sharpen, you can always pack it up and drop it off at the nearest La Poste and send it off to me instead ;)

Our testing shows that the E2k angles we use are a good cross between razor sharp and edge retention..

Just got my Alaskan Guide Series 110 today. Very nice. Of course the 110 is such a classic you really can't go wrong. With the S30V blade though, it's all that and a bag of chips. ;)

Thank you, unnecessary to innovate, i will use it intensely and save this bevel.
