Well, I know some of you have been worried about Alayna's hand, so I thought I should do an update. It's a little dirty in the pics, but all things considered I am glad she can get it dirty again. It was four weeks ago today that they had to put 25 stitches in it, 16 external, and 9 internal. They took them out a couple of weeks ago, and she seems to have made a full recovery with no pain and no nerve issues with holding objects. I would like to thank everyone for the thoughts, smoke, and prayers that were sent her way. I is very greatly appreciated. I am hoping to have back out in the field working with me next weekend. It's supposed to storm all weekend here this week.

Thanks guys. Yeah, it has been a scary time for me all together. The injury itself scared the crap out of me, then I was worried about mechanical damage, then I was worried about staph, then I was worried about long term nerve damage. But so far there have been no negative signs at all, but I still keep a close eye on how she uses it, and watch her facial expressions when she uses it or things touch it. It looks like we got extremely lucky with this.

Glad to see her healing up well!!

Thanks man, me too!!

That's a tough kid you got there, glad there is no permanent damage.

She has been strong, brave, and tough all the way through it man. Me too, it was like I didn't even breath for the first few days waiting to see how it went.

Thanks for the update, glad to her she is well on the way to a full recovery!

Thank you! Me too, she got annoyed that she was hurt all through her spring break, and missed out on the softball season, but all in all she understands it could have been much worse.

"Full recovery" sounds great! Amazing how the body can heal itself. So glad the hand will be 100%.

Hey Alyana!!
I'm glad to hear your hand is healing up so well!
You are a very tough, & very cool young lady!!

Thanks for the update Mistwalker!!
That's great news everything is healing!!
She's a great kid, with great parents!!

Glad to hear she is recovering so well. It's scary when it's one of your girls. Doesn't bother me at all to get hurt or be in danger. But one of my girls, uh no. I'm a big puss when it comes to my girls. Glad she will be back at it, helping make those awesome knife reviews soon.
