Alcas A03 Lockback too stiff

I have an old Alcas A03 that has a lockback in the middle of the knife. I have to use 2 hands to push it and release the blade. I cannot see where the spring is on that knife and wonder if there is anything I can do to make it easier to use. It is an every day carry, not a collectors knife and I really like it except for this problem.

1. Oil the crap out of it
2. Use a dremel to grind away some of the scale material so the lockbar is easier to access
