Alerts when followed members post

I’m wondering if I should be getting alerts when someone I’m following post. How would I go about making this so. I looked in the preferences and alerts section and didn’t readily see that as an option. Thanks in advance for your help.

Not sure if you can be alerted but you can see their new posts. Go to What's New and then click Your News Feed. You should see the activity of those you follow there.

If I understand your post correctly, you want to be notified if a person you are following makes a post. Yes?
If so, that's not an option in the software.

Go to your preferences and you can choose which things will cause a notification to be sent to you. I did not see an option for what I think you are asking about.
