Bowie knife maker Alex K Daniels has passed away. He made some of the most amazing reproduction Bowie Knives, the world has lost a true artist.

Rest in Peace Mister Daniels, never heard of him before but looking at his work, he was definitely talented. One upside of making good knifes is that you leave something behind for people to remember you by.

Mr. Daniels was a very talented knife maker who won knife awards into his 70's. He did a lot of work on some of my custom knives over the past few years and I own a gambler's ring guard fighting knife he made (I believe the original knife is pictured in the book "California's Best"). One of the last knives he worked on for me was a Jim Schmidt Goblin Folder that he polished and cleaned up. He was always very pleasant to deal with. He will certainly be missed. Gary
