Alex Salsi: Indian knives

I just ran into my friend: Alex Salsi. He's a Belgian knifemaker of Italian origin.

He makes some amazing knives.

I happened to have my digital cam with me and took some pics of the knives he had with him.

Both of these knives are hand forged out of some old files.

He also made both the sheats for them himself.

He doesn't have acces to internet himself, but he'll be very happy that his pics made it to Bladeforums
 
Very nice knives. And while I think the sheaths are nice too, I don't think they go stylistically with the knives. The knives look to have much more of a puukko influence to them. The feathers and frill on the sheaths just don't look right with that. I love the hamon on that second knife. And the wood on both look great.
 
Both look pretty good to me. Would be proud to have them in my collection. :) ;)
