I saw this gentleman's work at the Oregon show.
I believe he won an award there for his hunter.

There is little or no information on this maker that
I can find here or on an internet search. He has
gotten his JS from the ABS.

Any information about this maker would be appreciated.

Alex is a talented Southern California knife maker. He has a wide range of talents that include everything from forging, lost wax casting, and wrapping Japanese handles.
 
Well, if you can come to the Blade show, he'll be my neighbor!

He's a great guy and can always be found with Scott Taylor, MS...and his very good friend.

You're indeed correct, he won best Hunter/Utility at this year's OKCA show. And was awarded his JS stamp last year at the Blade Show.
