Aliens mentioned in US museum

That's all bunk...and I know, because I asked the aliens they keep in the sub-basement of the building I work in here at Wright-Patterson AFB.

A lot of the stuff in the exhibit probably IS bunk, it is the idea that a US govt funded institution would even use the word "alien" and have a a robotic alien in its display that is groundbreaking.

For years and years the US Gubbiment has been preparing the common folks for The Great Reveal.:p They still remember the havoc that happened when the War of the Worlds was played on National Radio.:(
If the Gubbiment does the reveal too soon we will have the same or even worse havoc. The stock market would go to hell instantly and that would just be the tip of the iceberg!

The thought that there's no life in the universe besides what's on our planet is, in my mind, a bit foolish.

However, were we to take the ratio of intelligent life vs. unintelligent life (or even multicellular life vs. single cellular life) and apply that to the rest of the universe - which may or may not be accurate, but is probably a good estimate - the odds of finding anything other than bacteria or virii are astronomical. (Pun intended.)

That being said, virii don't look for each other. Intelligent beings do.

The important thing to remember is, will these extraterrestrials have beer and how good will it be? It would be a real shame for an advanced civilization to make contact with us and offer us Milwaukee's Best...

If you havent guessed, I am thoroughly convinced.
All it took was the head of NASA's research center saying "yes there are UFO's in our airspace and they come from another planet."

Other people may need more convincing, and that's fine. I am a strong believer in healthy, logical skepticism. I consider it an important thing to get people thinking and talking about the subject. However, the ridicule is unwelcome.
Many people are uneasy with this subject, they are a little scared of the idea so they crack jokes and refuse to have any kind of serious discussion. Some people are just scared and there's nothing I can do about that.

There are many respected members of this forum who have seen things and know things who will not speak about them openly because of their fear of ridicule.

Ridicule is a tool of the government to keep people quiet. It is the sign of a coward.

The most amazing thing to me is not the existence of ET life visiting us, it is the amount of stubborn refusal to believe it exists despite the confirmation of its existence by people of unimpeachable position and credentials.

Dis-information?

When did this happen DIJ, and is there any public record of it?

I'm pretty certain there have been and are aliens from other planets that have and are visiting us on a regular basis but my beliefs are based mostly on the old ndn stories.

What makes you say that DIJ? And whom do you suspect of knowing things and not speaking of them? I don't think any of the old timers here fear any ridicule, hell look at some of the things we've talked about.

That's pretty harsh DIJ. I don't think there are any cowards in this forum, at least in those I've known for a long time.
There's probably not any among the new folks here either but they haven't been here long enough or opened up on too many things for me to know them well enough to say yea or nay.
It would take quite a bit for me too call a man a coward anyway.
Methinks you're walking on thin ice here.:grumpy:

hmmmm... Let's see, I'm a new guy so help me out here cause I tend to be a little slow sometimes. Did Danny just call me a coward? LOL

You want ridicule? Try telling a non Christian that ET's are really demons. That is what I truly believe as a cowardly Christian, but hey! Everyone is welcome to their opinion.

PS. Lighten up Danny.

apparently, Im still having trouble explaining myself. Sorry for that.

I wasnt calling anyone a coward, not anyone here.
Sorry if it came out that way.
You guys know Im not like that.
The ridicule is out there in the business world, in the schools and universities.

Im talking about Airline pilots who refuse to file reports of UFO's for fear of being fired. It has happened many times.
Pilot reports 300 foot diameter disk that rides off his left wingtip for 30 minutes, he gets fired by the airlines because the govt says there are no UFO's so the pilot must be crazy and we cant let crazy people fly airplanes, right?

Yvsa: Here is the public record :Unconventional Flying Objects: A Scientific Analysis
by Paul R. Hill, Chief Scientist-Manager at NASA's Langley Research Center

I'd rather we didnt involve any religious ideas here. I'd prefer we stick to physical things.

I don't think you were saying anything else. This is what you wrote...

Looks like you spelled it out plain and clear to me.:grumpy:

Then why didn't you say that instead of saying "There are many respected members of this forum who have seen things and know things who will not speak about them openly because of their fear of ridicule." :grumpy:

Thanks. I'll look around and see if I can find where the "head of NASA's research center is saying "yes there are UFO's in our airspace and they come from another planet."

Didn't we have a big argument about this a while back

Quick!!! Uncle Bill!! we have too much time on our hands post some blems!!! ;)

Jim you're the one who needs to lighten up. You don't know any of us and we don't know you. When I looked you had made 22 posts and only two of them in here with the first one being...

I'd settle for "on this post." :) just kidding!
which could be considered a trolling post. :grumpy:

You're welcome to hang around in here and get to know us and to let us get to know you but starting out like this is not a good way to do it. We have our little family spats in here, after two posts in this forum you're not considered family as yet. :grumpy:

And you might want to learn to respect the non-Christian as there are several in here who are not Christian, even the owner of HI and the chief moderator and bottle washer is a Buddhist.
I adhere to my people's ancient way of belief and am not Christian.
All religions are honored in here, we just don't push them down each others throat's.

Just so we understand one another, you're on notice with me. I'll make up my mind as time goes on whether I'll like you or not. Your first posts sure as hell aren't endearing to me. :grumpy:

Sorta. The subject was similar enough to be called the same but the approach was different. I wouldn't mind exploring this venue, in this way, myself if the religion can be left out of it.;) :D

A lot of people can see how aliens could exist as god's highest creation was supposed to be man ( in his own image). An alien would throw a
real big wrench in the works for the theologins, The sanctity of human life would be in question, (are we really better than aninmals?). also we wouldn't be # 1 any more and that is much more than some can handle. Look at what happen during martian invasion broadcast in the 30's , People were comminting suicide , and generally freaking out. If and when actual evidence is found or realease to the public it will be much of the same and worse as it will have a better chance to sink in........I think ...... some will denigh to the end , heck there are still people who don't believe that we landed on the moon and that Elvis is still alive . what ever....

It kind of cracks me up, when you start trying to wrap you head around the number of how many stars, planets , and heck even the galaxies there are to think that god would make it only for us sounds kind strange. I mean you would think he would be hanging around (like the street corner) , just to protect his investment and Last time I looked I didn't see him there, well maybe I should check again........

Move along humans. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Danny, I thought we'd agreed not to discuss the Anplay in front of the Umanhays.

Oh, and Jim Linch--Just a word of advice--not the best way to introduce yourself to the Cantina. You might want to rethink things a bit.

it's a religious thing ....
I suppose it could be seen as a religious thing but it doesn't have to be. If only it can be looked at scientifically then religion need not enter into the discussion.
But it's damned hard for Christians to look at things scientifically because they almost always let their beliefs enter into the subject.:(
If only what few facts known were discussed then it would be fine, but....

The trouble is that there are damned few facts known for sure. Mostly what is put forth is hearsay from other people, even though those people may have seen something unexplainable unless there are pictures that can be confirmed as untouched it's their word against everyone else's.
Even though I base my beliefs in extraterristerial life on what my people have talked about in the past I feel there is ample evidence from people who are totally believeable and credible.

I know what I have seen although it is very insignificant to others it is very significant to me. I don't believe there is a man made object that could behave the way the unexplained object I saw behaved.
