I don't know if this has been posted here before but I just had to share:

[We don't want to advertise for the company selling this garbage do we? No, I didn't think so.]

Very, very old news. Yes, people are aware, and the old adage is very true "If a deal is too good to be true, it is". Buying from legitimate stores with good reputations is the only way to go, if you buy something used, then do your home work. If you choose to go on eBay, you are rolling the dice and fishing for tragedy and disappointment. Also, there is no need to post the ink to the place that sells these steaming piles of trash, so it's been removed out of respect for Chris and Anne.

Authorized Dealers are the only way to go these days unless you trust whom your buying from. Anything else is a gamble.

Also have a 20 dollar paramilitary

No no no no no & no.

I've been down that route. I've got enough knives because I wanted the small 21. This time I got what I really wanted all along. Only thing bothering me the slightest bit is the blade tip beeing ever so little(,5mm?) out of center, but it's barely noticable and I don't think it's out of spec(I don't think you can even see it in the picture..) so I guess I just have to try to forget it.

Other than that this knife is amaaaaaaaazing and nothing else could do me right. It's gonna ride clipless, clip insert, in RFP with the small CRK slip sheath.

@Vaporstang; I got it from an US authorized dealer(Sooner State Knives), thanks for the list.

Wow! A $14 sebenza.. what a STEAL- because that's JUST what it is, basically. I wouldn't have as many gripes if the logo wasn't on there, or the box wasn't marked CRK, then it would still be "iffy", imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, yada yada, but this is just flat out fraud. What's sad is, it's not a bad looking knife. Not bad for $13 at all. if they can DO this, why not make their own design, just the basics, and offer $13 steel knives ? I'd probably buy a $13 steel knife, if it was designed sparely, without flaming dragon engraving, or some crazy-shit name on it like "Tactical Slayer 8000", or it wasn't all black, and wasn't trying to cash in on a hard-working makers name and effort. Just make a plain, steel handled, steel bladed, user friendly knife i'm not going to care about losing, and send it in a blank box. keep the shitty fifty cent velcro sheath, keep the Chinese "guarantee" written in mandarin, i don't need it covered in cosmoline, I don't need fake-ass G10 plastic, or "carbon fiber" made from reclaimed pantyhose, just make a decent but cheap all steel knife, knock the rough edges off, put it in a plain box, and sell it for $13. Then i MIGHT have some respect for them. they can make 50 zillion SKS bayonets that are tough as tanks for probably a dime each, they can make a decent steel knife.

5CR15MoV is cheap, but servicable, if you don't mind sharpening a lot. They could certainly knock out a plain-jane, well built, steel knife using it, and sell it for $13, and make a profit.

Pretty sure a mod just asked that people don't post links to these counterfeits....

I bought a fake Hinderer off of a friend who got it there. A nicer one, I was and still am massively impressed with it...but at the end of the day, I never have or will use it. I bought it from him to beat the hell out of it, and I've never really even looked at it since. It just doesn't feel right.
