was surprised to read somewhere recently that the 111mm Trekker model has a larger screwdriver/caplifter than the 111mm Rucksack. Is this true?? I thought for each SAK size, tools were identical???

I hadn't noticed it before but, yes, the cap lifter/screw driver on the OHT is about a 1/4" longer. The screwdriver blade tip is about 1/16" wider. It's also a bit thicker.

While browsing the 111mm models I did get the impression that older button-lock models have smaller flathead screwdriver / cap lifter, but I didn't know for sure until now. Thanks!

quick photo comparison:

Nomad (black, liner lock release), Picnicker (red, sliding button lock release)

Also, the screwdriver/opener locks on the lockblades with liner lock release but not on the ones with the sliding button lock release.

Interestingly the pliers and scissors on 111mm models are identical in size to 91mm models.

that is very interesting !

yes. Maybe the locking function can facilitate a stronger driver that can also be used for prying.

thanks for the confirmation, any other tools on the 111mm that vary?? also, I imagine both have a 90 degree stop??
