Does anyone else have hot spot issues with the “coke bottle” style handles? I picked up the ESEE fixed blade xancudo and while I like the blade, the handle can be hot when bearing down on some cuts. Just curious

There aren't many production knives that have 100% completely comfortable handles out of the box for me, ESEE included. I have probably dremeled, sanded or re-contoured most handles on my knives in some way.

The notable exception are the large Beckers. Those handles out of the box, are the most comfortable of any knives I have come across in the last 35 years.

Seems like the broomstick handles are good because they don’t force you into one grip. I’ve held the BK2 before. It’s like that, big and round.

Style has become more important than function in both knife blades and handles..........

Only for those who spend more time taking pictures of their knives then actually using them, and the people in the marketing department who are selling to those people.
