All black CPM-M4 Military anyone?

Been wanting one for a long time so I made one.

What a great knife. They are both CQI models and man are the small improvements awesome. Looks like they also radiused the outer edges of the handles a tiny bit for comfort. I love the floating stop pins in these models.

I've got 2 all black Millies -- 1 plain edged and 1 combo edged -- earlier versions both in S30V.

I like the looks of them, which is why I bought them (and other black bladed knives) but I would never use them (or any other black bladed knife) because I don't like the effect wear has upon the appearance of the blade. This is also why I've decided to NOT buy any more DLC (or otherwise black coated) blades and will just limit myself to the ones that I already have.

Reason? I'm a collector and buy specific knives mainly because I like the way they "look. Any use will changes the appearance of the knife generally in a way I would not like. While I can polish scratches out of high gloss/satin/SW blades, I can't do that w/DLC or other coated blades. So, no more DLC blades for me.

sgt1372 sgt1372 that's funny. I love how coated blades look when they have wear on them. I think it gives them character. Hey to each his own right. ;)
 
I really wish there would be more M4, or Vanadis 4E if they choose a similar but different steel, in something other than BHQ jade exclusives or the flipper. Love me some M4, not a fan of jade and for the price it was hard to justify getting more scales on top of it. Kind of wish I would've kept it, though, just couldn't justify it when I needed a little extra coin at the time.

M4 on slicey blades, winner. And spyderco knows how to make a slicey blade. I think an m4 delica or chap could be pretty neat. I really need to just suck it up and get the k390 police 4, which should be similar in characteristics to M4. Love the millie's ergos though.
 
Generally I don't like DLC. I'm weird that way, I guess, I don't like how it feels to the touch. But there has to be an exception to every rule :)

And just in case you wondered: the black Military above (including liners and backspacer) has the same weight as the upcoming Native Chief; and is a Quarter inch shorter than the stock Military.
