Hi folks-

These were modeled after a Gent's back-up Bowie I made. I got quite a few notes from guys saying they liked that knife, but would be afraid to use it.

That's what inspired these knives.

5160 blades with machined finishes, OD Green canvas Micarta on one, Black canvas micarta on the other (both handles were hand sanded to 500X to leave a "nice, but not too nice", grippy finish), both with ss Corby bolts, and both have a concealed lanyard mount.

Sheaths are behind the back, right hand carry--- hand saddle stitched, veg tanned leather.

Thanks for look'n guys. :)

Nice!!! You took that Micarta WAY down on the guard!!!!

Thanks guys :)

Greg A- I know you're quite familiar with the piece that inspired these two. ;) :)

Joe- I wanted the knife to have "thin lugs" like my fighters do, even though the lugs were going to be part of the blade steel. I considered leaving the lugs bare... but I just didn't think that would make the overall knives look the way I wanted them to.

I wouldn't even consider putting wood on there and thinning it down like that, but with synthetics (Micarta, G10, Carbon Fiber), surface ground mating surfaces, and high quality epoxy... I'm confident in these.

Greg H- Thanks buddy... when are you coming up??? ...the dogs REALLY need a bath! :p :D

Nice blades Nick.

I always love the ones made to be used.

Nice knives, Nick. You did right on the guards, imo.

Yes Nick the Gentleman's is really a great knife. I am sure the new owners of these will be as happy as I am with mine.

Yeah, the g10 guard is one of my favorite bits. Like I said before, "user" or not, I'd have a heck of a time using such nice knives.

Great job!
