I don't post here much, mostly over on the WS&S forum, however I'm a huge Spyderco junky. The Salts are among my favorites, as I spend a good bit of time in the water, both fresh and salt. Here are a couple of pics from a snorkeling trip yesterday, we picked up scallops and blue crabs, one of which was fond of my Salt 1:
He liked the edge holding and utilitarian shape of the rustproof H1 blade, but I like the clip and how well it rides tucked in the waistband of my trunks, even while swimming, so I traded him out for a Ladybug Salt. I thought it was more his size anyways:
Happy with the trade, he agreed to meet us for supper tonight, and bring along some buddies with him.
The Salts rock! Having a sharp blade around all the rope, line and netting that accompanies being around the water just makes sense. Having a quility Spyderco that is totally immune to the enviroment is awesome; there is no reason not to have a knife on you at all times with these things on the market.
