I am normally a Spyderco guy, but lately I have branched out to Zt. I have been surfing the tube and came across the Sheepdog Rangemaster. I am really digging this knife and want to know any experiences that anyone may have with it. This seems like a good gift to myself and need to feel secure about spending the money.
Thanks in advance

Well...I LOVE MINE! Some folks have had a bad experience with theirs. Smooth action. Some of the better bearings I have felt. If your expecting ZT's break your finger #horsepower detent strength, you'll be disappointed as it's lighter to accommodate ease of thumbdisc and Wave use. Lockbar will need to break in (trait with most Emersons).

I have the spear point model and it is a great knife. Good size and smooth as can be.

I have one, it was my first Emerson and from the moment I touched it I really liked it. (already loved the look of it)

Emerson is not a Spyderco or ZT.. (certainly not a ZT) not in a good or bad way. The knife is rough, it feels like "a man's knife", but wears to you and pretty quickly.

My lock was tough, but after a couple weeks it has turned into a very nice lockup. Scales now feel like most G10 when you first get it vs a crazy grip on your hand like picking up a spider web or something. (it would never slip out of your hand)

ZT you pick up and all the wear is done they break in but rarely are there hot spots, or areas that make you want to get sand paper out.

I gave it time and have been very happy. Great knife, smooth as any out there on the flipping action.
