Here's a little history to go with the "brick" pattern.
Actual Busse brick. Not my pic, but my dad says he thinks he has a few of them somewhere. I haven't been able to find any yet. I believe the Busse's operated 2 brick yards in NKY from the late 1800's until they were bought out in the 1930's:
Some letterhead dated 1897. I believe this is from the middle period. As far as I can tell, they initially operated under "The Busse Company," then "The Busse-Heidecker Brick Company," and finally as "The Busse Brick Company":
