Jeff Randall and I had a great discussion today. Weve never really had a chance to speak much at the shows and our conversation today (technically yesterday) really cleared up a number of issues and assumptions for both of us.
The Internet can be a great place for sharing information, but the chances of miscommunication taking place seem to be very high. There are many things that are never said or clarified on the net because there is often an assumption of knowledge on someones part. It is much easier in a live conversation to interrupt the other person and clarify small questions about word choice than it is on the net. Emoticons (smileys) really cant take the place of intonation and laughter. It is almost always these little things that get blown out of proportion.
I, like many others, simply do not have the spare time that is necessary in order to respond to every question that is asked on the Internet. I do however, often have the time, if its over the phone or in person. If Jeff and I had posted everything that we discussed today in our 2 hour conversation, it wouldve taken another 4 weeks on the forums. There just isnt enough beer in Ohio or Alabama for that!
If anyone who reads this ever has a point of contention with me personally, or with Busse Combat, I can assure you that a phone call is the best way to resolve the problem. Give me the chance to square things first. If I refuse to resolve a problem with any Busse customer, then Ill help you hang me out to dry.
