I contacted Microtech today. They do have left handed clips available for the new L-UDT. This is because despite the ability of the included clip to be mounted on the other side, it doesn't fit properly. Microtech requires the owner to send a self addressed stamped envelope to them with a request of the clip. There is no charge that I am aware of for the clip. Just thought you all would be interested.
