Okay, here's the situation...all of a sudden your entire collection of knives vanishes into thin air, but you are granted a single wish.

The wish to be granted is this: You may select 5 (five) Spyderco current catalog 2004 & 2005 knives. What five knives do you pick and why? Be sure to mention whether they are plain, partially serrated or fully serrated.

My list:
Endura Partially Serrated
Delica Plain
Para Military Plain Edge
Manix Plain Edge
Dodo Blue Plain Edge

Thanks for your participation! :D (I'll be posting this in the General Discussion Area too)

You've got to be kidding me, my entire collection of knives vanished  and you want me to take the time to pick 5 Spydercos  , are you ot of your friggin' noodle :grumpy: ?

Ok:
SS PE Dragonfly, great little sheeple friendly pocket knife, and comfortable too.

G-10 SE Civilian, Great SD last ditch knife.

SS PE Karambit, smaller concealable knife, same reason as the civilian.

Lum Tanto Fixed Blade, always need a strong fixed blade for survival and heavy work.

G-10 PE Military, tough top notch all around tactical/utility knife.

Chinook II
Blue Dodo
Kiwi with bone handle
Endura FRN
Delica FRN

All plain edge.

Manix - heavy duty folder
Chinook II -- SD
Paramilitary -- lightweight EDC
Persian -- gentleman's EDC
SS Dragonfly -- office knife

All PE

This is fun! :) I wouldn't really mind that, actually...I think I would love the "change".

1) black blade, plain edged Military - versatile, hi tech folder "King"

2) plain edged Manix - It's so cooooooooool!

3) black blade, plain edged Paramilitary - Great day in, day out EDC

4) "silver" blade, serrated Paramilitary - Gotta' have one with teeth; gorgeous!

5) s/s, plain edged Cricket - low key, and must have a stainless Spydie!

Jeff/1911.

all plain edge:

Temperance
Ronin
Perrin
Moran drop point
Salt I

By the way, I like fixed blades........

Stretch - packs the most blade in the least space - great ergos - a lean mean slicin' machine - has some weight to it, but it's all muscle, no fat - this knife has just about pushed all the others out of my EDC rotation.

Schempp Persian - best combo of brawn and elegance - even before I had mine tweaked, I'd have felt comfortable gutting a moose or slicing filet mignon with this one.

Grey FRN "Sprint Run" Calypso Jr. - most bang for the buck - packs a super slicing blade in a thin, feather light package.

Jigged Bone Kiwi - elegant gent's knife for those occassions where PC is the order of the day.

FRN Jester - a miniature masterpiece of design. The best key ring knife going, and great for those little jobs where fine control is essential. Heck if it wasn't for the occasional sandwich, I could leave the bigger ones home.

Pretty much follows my current "EDC battery"

Interesting to note how the difference in blade length between the Stretch and the Native and Calypso Jr is considerably greater than the difference in closed length. Also guess you'd have to say I'm fond of 50/50 choils.

Hrm...

Para-millie plain edge, black blade
Spyderfly
Military Black blade plain edge
Black handled Yojimbo
Homemaker ~ KX07

You said, *all* my knives dissapeared. So I'm gonna need something to make a sandwich with, so there's the KX07.

Gotta have a 'sammich' maker!

1) Gray Goddard PE for general all purpose EDC.
2) Gray Calypso Jr. PE for "at work carry" rotation.
3) Native in S30V PE for "at work carry" rotation.
4) Tan Endura CE (when it released) just because it's cool.
5) Stretch PE because you limited me to '04-"05 models, otherwise a Tim Wegner PE would be here!

Military PE
Chinook II PE
Perrin PE
Ronin PE
Endura SE

If I could have one wish, I would wish I had my Spyderco/Bob T. collab. knife back.. That knife was the cats sack.

Wow, tough problem. Here are my choices:

FRN Delica PE - General utility folder.

Rescue 79mm (SE only) - For cutting hard plastics and such.

Bone Kiwi (PE only) - Gent's folder.

Fixed blade Temperance PE - I don't own one of these now, but I would need a replacement for my Moras to use outdoors.

Large Utility K04 (SE only) - Kitchen use.

Tough one, but I'll try

Homemaker PE
Utility knife SE
Temperance Fixed Blade PE
Manix PE
Persian PE

I would choose these because I feel that I would have most knife use situations covered.

Decon, FWITW you take the best knife photos. What plans do you have for the Calypso and Native ? Just curious.
