All right - cross sub-forum but it involves INFI.

My cousin was at a gun show here in Michigan This weekend. He is not a knife person but has admired a few of my rats and tried to find someone selling them at the gun show. He ran across a guy that tried to convince him that TOPS is buying blemished knives from BUSSE, SRKW and SYKW and selling them under the TOPS name. He then further tried to convince him that one of the knives that looked like my HRLM was made out of INFI. Now, I'm calling B.S. on the whole thing but I told him that I would ask those of you in the know, is it even remotely possible that any of the BUSSE family is selling blemished knives to TOPS?

Someone should tell him yes so that Amy can describe the look on Jerry's face when Busse receives a TOPS knife for warranty work. :D

Did he get the guys info? Was he a seller? Busse Combat would want to know if there is a concerted effort on someones part to clame there products are BUSSE's. What does happen to Busse seconds?

I believe they get the combat grade treatment.

This is absurd :thumbdn:! How did this guy at the gun show try to back up his claim? What evidence did he provide?

Jerry discussed what happens to them, long ago, and even included pictures. I'll see if I can find the discussion, but I doubt I will.

In short, he separates them out, and does not sell them nor give them away.

mymindisamob,

Yes, that's one of the pictures I had in mind. Do you have a link to the thread?

I go to alot of shows in this area, and the crap gets pretty deep sometimes.

A dealer at a show Saturday was trying to tell me the .17HMR rimfire didn't drop untill after 300 yds. I think he really believed it so I didn't argue long.

The knife dealers are not as bad but I did here one Saturday tell a customer ATS-34 was the best steel made. Surely he knew better.

I got my first TOPS knife in a trade recently and its made of 1095... good stuff but it ain't INFI...

Holy Oinkin' Yowza!!!!. . .

The guy at the gun show is full of BS. . . .

We have NO connection with TOPS knives!!!. . . NONE!. . . .

Get this guys name and contact and we'll drop the INFI hammer on him. . .

Thanks,

Jerry :D
