FOR SALE OR TRADE:
I'm sick of these knives just sitting in a drawer, ready to let them go to people who will use them. Never planned to sell these so I didn't save any of the boxes. Paypal and CONUS only please, prices include fees and shipping. Trades considered for comparably priced spyderco, gec, or bark river knives.
1) KaBar 1480 TDI: SOLD
This has been sharpened but not used, blade coating still in tact. I took the bevel shoulders down and polished the edge. Some light scratches on clip. The clip is not attached in pics because I had no access to torx bits after taking it off. Clip is now attached.
2) Cold Steel Spartan: SOLD
Has been sharpened and used a couple times for breaking down cardboard. Has some light scratches on the blade. Lockup is perfect. Extra left handed clip is missing.
3) Spyderco ZDP 189 Stretch with British racing green FRN: SOLD
This knife has been carried only a few times, some light scratches on the clip. My stropping attempts made the blade duller than factory sharp, and trying to fix it on a paper wheel made some marks on the blade. It looks like there is a light, even patina starting to develop, but I could be imagining that, can't remember if it was this color when purchased. Other than the cosmetic issues the knife is in great shape. Lockup is perfect.
4) Bark River Highland Special A2 Steel, Desert Ironwood Scales: SOLD
This was a great user, but I always reach for my Canadian Special these days. Bark river does not classify this as burl wood, but it has a very interesting grain pattern. Blade has scratches and there is some staining on the tang.
The knife had the following cosmetic issues when I bought it:
-Two of the pins are not perfectly round, causing small gaps next to them.
-There are two spots on the handle where tiny pieces of the wood are chipped out.
Also, I lost the very tip of the knife and had to reshape it, bringing the tip down a hair.
These issues are insignificant in use, but definitely noticeable.
Really a great knife if you are looking for a user, but not a collector's piece. I have tried to capture all of the issues in the pics, but will be happy to provide more if needed.
Thanks for looking!
