I've tried a few of the traditional survival knives in the past (BRKT Bravo 1, Cold Steel SRK) and gotten rid of them for one reason or another.
Right now, I have a Grohmann #3 Boat Knife.

They offered it in Carbon Steel in a full flat grind for a while and that's the version I have. It also has a green Micarta
handle.
It's the perfect size, easy to sharpen, and the handle is very comfy.
To me, it's the perfect survival knife.
I also had a horizontal carry Kydex sheath made for it.
Just wondering why the Grohmann knives get no love here.

well its a Canadian made knife in NovaScotia i believe. There is not to many of them for sale on websites even. in Canada. They were made more popular in Canada az it was an issued piece of military kit. i own one, one got stolen, they make good knives

They are a very good knife. They were also popularized a bit in the book "Paradise Below Zero". They don't get mentioned much due to the lack of marketing and availability. That and they've always bucked the trends (thick blades, big chopper).

The best place to get Grohmann Knives is their website. Bonus right now in that they've got a clearance sale of up to 50% off right now. :) Don't know if I'm allowed to post the URL since I don't believe they're a sponsor here but you can easily google them.

Nice looking knives there. They're not widely known / distributed, that might have something to do with it
