All town garage sale find!!

Was at the local all town sale today and ran across this old fixed blade for $7.
Had to bring it home!!
Anyone able to tell me about what I brought home?? Age/Model??

No model number stamped on the ricasso means pre-1965ish, when Cole National bought the company from the Brown family. So it is from between when ever Kabar went to the italicized lower case stamp in the 1950s and 1965.

This a nice size hunting knife. I might reprofile the edge a bit and see hoe sharp she gets.
It needs a good cleaning. What is the best way to clean the stacked leather?
