the original screw and hex key information should be in the database. always has.
KaBar at one point switched sizes, possibly due to contaminated supply stock, or a shortage, so now you need two different sizes for the "full size" knives
why in ghods name they used such a weird sized hex for the 15/16/17 that almost nobody owns, even in a set... but fits a common Torx size, is beyond me.
i figured as long as there wasn't a standard anymore, providing conflicting information would be silly
as well, the varying lengths of bolts is all over the map now, due to size variation on tang thickness, original vs camillus (or older) handle slab thicknesses and materials, after market, and all that. not the least of which the sizes change if you strip the knives (or KaBar suppies a model that doesn't have a coating vs one that does (BK14 vs BK24)
bit of a headache. would need a spreadsheet, and ... yeah, never got around to it. KaBar doesn't supply the information, so it's not an easy matter of official data sheet information - which is MOSTLY what the database is. maybe if i'm motivated enough, someday, i'll sit around with dozens of knives and some calipers, and measure. my inner cynic would then find people complaining they bought a #4 x 3/4 inch based on the chart, only to find it didn't fit, because KaBar used .009 thicker steel that week, or otherwise changed some specs without notice (which they do)... so. yeah.
someone wanna compile it? i'll add it. i've made that offer before. nobody stepped up.
