First of all...thanks to Mike and Spark and all of the other people who make this site happen. I have been to some of the "other sites" and have browsed some...Bladeforums is by far A-1!! They all have something to offer that may be alittle different than the next one...but bladeforums is tops in my book.

I am constantly bugging my wife with the things that I have learned or seen or heard on the forums...I am sure that she is about to kill me. I love to see what other KnifeKnuts are doing, thinking, carrying, buying, gadgeting, etc. We are a different "breed of cat" and I kinda' like it that way. People will see you pull out your knife (possibly alittle more agressive looking than other "pocket knives") and they may think that you are some kind of psycho. Around here, we know that we are just KIND of psycho. ;-)

ANYWAY...I was in my local bookstore today checking out the latest copies of the Knife mags and was slightly dissapointed and kinda proud at the same time. I was flipping through the pages of the two more popular mags (IMHO) and knew practically all the stuff they were talking about. The reviews that they had...read 'em. Picturs of new knives about to be released...seen 'em. Interviews with makers...heard 'em. The mags (yes I know that they have the up hill battle of having to go to press and the internet site doesn't) really don't become a necessity anymore like they used ot be to us Knifers. Shoot...we have some of the greatest knife makers alive actively starting and responding to posts on this site. We have some of the biggest names in production blades taking an active role in posts here as well. What other site has such an impressive "whos-who" list on their site. None that I have seen yet.

I say all of this to say...thanks. Not only thanks to Mike and to Spark, but to all of the Forumites. I have met some great people on this site. Some of the people I may not have emailed or spoken to before, but in a way I have met them through watching their posts and comments to others. We have an impressive group of people here and I am proud to be a part of it. Thank you again and keep up the great work!

With humble regards--
David P. Sproles

You are all welcome and thanks for making this site what it is.

We say it all the time. We provide the playground and the equipment, you guys get to play here and many just come to watch us play.

What is a playground with no kids? Without you guys we are nothing. You all provide the content and make this site work.

The important thing is that we have fun.

I have to agree with everything David said.
Thanks guys! You all have made for much
interesting and informative reading in the
eight months I've been coming here.
Hmmmm.....I should also thank you all for the
new bills I am getting due to my renewed
interest in collecting knives.

Well said, Sproles....'cept maybe the part about the "psycho" thing...
People think that about me even if I just whip out my toothbrush.
Maybe that's cuz of the constant screeching that accompanies the action... I dunno.

I know what you mean about the pride issue, too! When I saw the Sifu written up in Tactical Knives, I kinda felt a "part" of it, cuz it was created, basically, here. Not that the fershelunging editors would mention that!!!!

All in all, especially to the silent majority here, we should do whatever we can to keep this sight going. I know, I know, I just posted twice about not being able to do something right now due to financial means... little vulture kids INSIST on being fed daily, ARRRGGHHH.... but I think I just talked myself into using the last remains of my credit limit to buy something here....
Am I an easy pushover or WHAT?????

An assortment of pictures I decided to share with anyone that was so bored they wanted to check out my antics. I did this to prove that I am indeed sane. Be advised that there's hardly any nudity. Feel free to sign the Guestbook!!
Manifesto of Madness
I wrote most of that at work after drinking massive amounts of coffee. I needed to look busy and that dribbled out of my head. There's also a whole bunch of Optical Illusions.
The Deadly and Scary Leatherman Micra Website.
Be warned that the tactics used at that last site are not for the faint of heart!
