Hi Razor,

You must have some big thumb to do that
wink.gif
I have no problem with the SERE 2000.

My Leatherman Wave is my problem tool and it has taken some skin and flesh from my thumb on a couple of occasions. I have to be carefull each and any time I open one of the knife blades on my Wave, they are just to small (not wide enough) to keep your thumb from getting sliced.

Best Scouting wishes from Holland,

Bagheera

With a thumb lug, try using the side of the thumb at the top corner of the nail. That saved my thumb from a flesh-eating BM705.
With the Leatherman Wave, no suggestion. Whenever I've tried one onehanded, it tried to slice my thumb. Some knives are worse than others, but some onehanded knives aren't onehanded.

I think the thumb stud is way too "sharp" also. That last machined piece on the "top" shaped thumb stud is just too small and sharp. A very simple piece of machining, showing no grace or cleverness like the Sebenza.

I haven't decided whether I'll sell the knife or take the Dremel and/or some diamond files to the thumb stud.

Same comments on the sharp edges on the liner lock and the liners themselves.

It was the blade that tried to cut my thumb, not the tumb stud.
