I tend to EDC folders that are on the large side, 3.75-4" blade range(Endura).
If any of you carry the Shrike or BM 740, what are your opinions. I like the Shrike VG-10 blade and its lines, yet it seems really thick for its size. Is the 740 vastly thinner? I would settle for the S30V steel on the 740 if its not like carrying a roll of quarters in my pocket. What say you?

Have you considered the 710 or rukus? The rukus is extra large and it just might be like carrying a roll of quarters in your pocket. If you are willing to settle for a mini rukus, that might work. I like the axis lock more than the modified locking liner. The shrike seems like an excellent knife. It reminds me of the 806 afck.

The Shrike was a bit thick but I never minded it when carrying it. I've never carried a 740, just held one, so while it's just a guess I'd say the thickness difference between the two probably isn't that much. The Shrike is a very nice knife, had some of the fastest and smoothest action of any production folder I owned.
