Hi Guys...

Many years ago I had a knife stolen out of one of my booths at a show....

Recently I just remembered about it after reading some threads on lost knives...

Does anyone remember the Almar "Fang"? or know of a picture of it...

If I remember correctly it had white "Ivory" slabs, double crossguard/double edged boot knife...

Any help would be appreciated, and would bring back some fond memories of my teenage years..

Thanks

Eric...

Roger thanks for the URL.

I bought a Fang last year and did not know what the name of the knife was. Mine has a dark handle. I responded to an classified ad and paid $25 for the knife.

Thanks again Roger.

Wow, that sold for $310, pretty good auction on that and it's a sharp fang of a knife to be sure. Had one with dark handles as well, man was that a sticker!
That's back when Al Mar was around and his knives were very distinctive, not saying the current offerings are crap, well, maybe that is what I'm saying, but only when compared to what they used to be, otherwise they are ok...

One thing is for sure, AlMar knives are a shadow of their former glory. A cigar cutter and a few lightweights can't replace the older models.I treasure my ivory micarta falcon and hawk and my green micarta falcon.
I would not trade them for any other modern factory knives.

Hi Guys...

The Fang went for $310.00....

Holy Crap.....
Wish I still had mine...
I'd sell it!!!!

I got a sheath up there right now,,but no one has bid on it yet...

Seen a few nice Randalls though...

Can't believe the Home Shopping club knife Crapola thats being sold there....

I got my bid in for the Flying Dragon Wing, Killer Ninja,CIA Spec Ops Traditional Wrapped Tanto Sword, Triple Sharpened with 24K Gold Inlays and Chrome plated Blade...
Opps forgot the "Free" Nagahyde sheath...

Beautiful... ROTFLMAO

Hi Scorpio,

Contrary to what you said - and as I told you in person - the rumors I heard in a knife shop in Paris (for all it's worth) is that they had a big quarrel with their steel suppliers in Japan and ever since the late Al Mar passes away - things did not go so well there.

Hope Mrs. Al Mar will be able to reestablish the fine reputation her father had.
