just picked up one of these blades as a "travel" knife and it really has a pleasant shape and a very nice vg-10 blade.
the scales are secured by what appear to be pins and not by screws.
all of the ones i inspected at SMKW had a slight bit (fraction of a mm) of seperation of one of the scales from the back spacer. it does not interfere with the function of the knife as far as i can tell. if the scale was secured by a screw a quarter turn might fix this cosmetic defect.
i am curious as to why pins were used in its construction and not screws ... i like the ability to "adjust things" if neccessary
