Almost Bid on This One

Would it have been a waste because it wasn't real, or because of the price it went for?

I have to admit, I've felt the same way about a couple I've recently won. I didn't pay much for either one, but they aren't something I really want to use, so they'll likely just sit in a box.

I see the item was located in Canton, Tx. Which just happens to be one of the largest trades day/flea markets in the state. I wouldn't be surprised what the seller didn't buy it there and turn it for a profit.

Some people, myself include need to do such things to support the collection habit. If I see something I know I can flip for a profit, I will. It's called business, and I wouldn't have half of the collection I have if I wasn't smart about what I did.

Waste of time because I never would have gone that high.

I've seen a few knives go pretty high lately......maybe the recession is over.

:)

Relax, almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Horseshoes I stink at, but now hand grenades are something I'm good at tossing.

well .... gee that is a deeeeeep subject ....
any ways...
yes it is high but .. ya knows that not many are found new in box like that
and .. well to some collectors they got to have it ....
i did not check to see the bids on it but
likely 2 or 3 wanted it badly to fill out a collection ...
as to it comeing from a flea market... does it really mater?

I think the flea market remark was just a point of information, not an accusation of wrongdoing.

Heck, even I sell something every now and then......that's how you improve your collection (or in my case, accumulation).

Can't keep everything, especially when something better comes along.

:)
