Here's a new batch of Valkyres that I've been working on. They all have stabilized giraffe bone overlays.

The blades are Damasteel. I just do a quick etch in ferric chloride to bring up the pattern and to make sure I got all the scratches out before heat treating.

The flip side.....

After heat treat, I'll buff the blades to a mirror finish and etch them in Muriatic acid.

I get my giraffe bone from Nico Bernard. I think it's dyed and stabilized with some type of acrylic resin. (It doesn't even smell too bad when grinding.
