Javelina are "NOT" in season right now in Texas. I am a hunter and sportsman. I enjoy having this privilege, and do not wish to have my hunting opportunities limited because of the impression that you would create with the general (non-hunting) public. Will you be able to bring down the entire hunting communities privileges all by yourself? Absolutely not! However, there are many people in this country who act as irresponsibly as you seem to act. Taken as a whole, you and others like you, can affect my rights and privileges in the long run. It's difficult enough to keep the government from taking our guns and knives away, as well as keeping our hunting privileges!
Please Jacob, take a good hard look at yourself and try to see yourself as others see you. You seem to have very little regard for laws and very little sense of what is right and what is wrong. You remind me a lot of an "out of control" teenager, who doesn't care how others perceive him. You can however affect others, because we as a community (whether it is the community of knifemakers, or the community of hunters, or fisherman) are perceived by others dependent on "our" actions. I do not consider you a hunter or fisherman when you do what you tried to do. I consider it an act of someone operating outside of the law, and thus it is not hunting, but instead it is poaching.
Please think about more than your daily joy and desires, and think of others and how your actions can affect there lifestyles.
