Almost lose your favorite knife?

Tonight i finally had a night to myself. I've been wanting to take a walk through the woods alone for the longest time. I brought my 110, not the most expensive knife in the world but if there was ever a knife with sentimental value it was my 110. I spent at least an hour digging through many an inch of snow to find it after i lost it moments after whittling a little stick to a point. Of course it happened to be right on the log i was sitting on...

Anyone ever do this? Make me feel not so dumb...haha please...
