Almost Lost it Twice in Three Days!

Luckily, I felt it both times. But, man, it was WAY too close! The first time was at work coming out of the seat and it must've caught on something. The second time, I was tightening my son's skates before going on the ice. I was bent over and the knife just popped out of my pocket and landed right on my thigh. It's never happed in the past, but I've been wondering if the clip seemded less stout than my previous Seb from the day I got it. Just didn't feel as strong and secure. Almost "flimsy"(sp.).
I always had faith in the Seb's clip. Now, not so much...
Anyone else notice anything similar with newer (last year or so) models?

I usually carry my Seb in my back right pocket. Tonight, I was in a rush to sit down at my desk... ...as I slid in over the arm rest into the seat, the pocket clip caught on the arm rest and ripped it. It also bent the clip so much that it no longer contacted the lock bar.

I took it off the knife, put it in a vise, and bent it back. I must have bent it to too far, as not it is very tight (not flimsy at all). No way it comes out of my pocket. I may have to change my carry location as my wife won't go for ripped armrests....

I took the clip off my small ivory inlay Sebenza and carry it in the bottom of my front pocket. It just seems safer there than clipped to the top of the pocket plus I like the look of the Seb without the clip and the insert in its place. I would hate to loose that rascal...

I use a pouch when I think there is much of a chance of the Sebenza getting lost.

A pouch like the older MicroTech models is great for belt carry. I like to orient the pouch so that it is in line (horizontal) with my belt.
The new CRK pouch can also be carried either horizontal or vertical.

I suggest sending it to CRK for a fix up?

or get STR to do a lowrider clip. they are very very nice imo.

Mine kept slipping up on my jeans, never fell out or came close to it, so I took the clip off and gave it a little more bend and the problem was solved.

Your knife is telling you something. It has warned you twice, and the third time it may be gone forever. I had that happen to a sheath knife with bad keeper strap. Twice I was lucky, and after that came total regret on the third time.

Like others have said, now is a good opportunity for a fix. I would either send it in for repair, or make a belt sheath.

I took the clip off and bent it a bit. It seems to be biting in better, so I hope the problem is solved. Funny, because I've never had that happen in the past and it happened twice in such a short span of time.
