Several years ago my Dad found a 112 on a local horse trail with all the pins bent and badly gouged scales, so I sent the knife to BUCK for a possible rebuild. Two weeks later the knife was returned in like-new condition.
Dad passed away last week and we found the 112 in his possessions still in its factory bubble wrapper sleeve. He still had his favorite, a Stockman he carried everyday but showed little interest in a large folder. The 112 is now in my possession, a fine knife from my Dad.

7-6,

Sorry to hear of your loss, I still have an empty spot inside form when my Dad & Mom passed. Take care of the 112 your Dad saved for you all these years.

Yep, I know what you mean. Both of mine are gone and I still wish I could call them. I learned much from them. They weren't without blemish and were good to raise me. He taught me how to sharpen a Buck knife. Hope you enjoy your 112. DM
