.....well so far so good. In just on 24hrs our plane should hopefully be taking off for New Zealand. Thus far I am 50gms under my checked baggage limit (that is my big pack and gun case). I will be fine as long as they don't want to weight my carry on (my day pack)... 
The mate I am travelling with arrives here in a few hours and we will check off our gear lists and then settle in for a couple of BBQs before a (hopefully) early night as it will be a 0430hrs start in the morning...:barf:
Yesterday going through gear and culling some reorganising some.... It will all need repacking in NZ
....it will all need repacking in NZ as we need to add some food and gas etc for the stoves. The area we are going has been pretty dry as well, unusual for NZ, just waiting for a bit of advice from the chopper pilot to see if he thinks we will need to throw in a couple of large containers of water to stash up at the DoC hut.
