(almost) plain Jane - Large 21 with basket weave damascus blade - the purists choice

Hi everybody,

new arrival is this Large 21 with standard titanium scales and basket weave damascus blade. It is quite a "late arrival" at my little collection and I have to admit, that I first focussed on the various versions with inlays. But now it was the time for the "purists choice" :-) and I have to say that I am really impressed by its understatement.

The basket weave damascus of the plain titanium seems to bee a bit more "shiny", than the damascus from the KnifeArt exclusive with CF scale.

I currently have large 21 w. damascus blade: 8, plus the TNK large 21 with spirograph damascus inbound.

I do have only 1 small 21 and therefore only 1 small 21 w. damascus blade, which is the TNK small 21 w. spirograph damascus.

I do have 3 Mnandi with damascus blade and 4 more inbound.

That's basically it.

Not having a Damascus blade from CRK, heck not even touching one, can the variations between metal types be felt on the blade? I mean, if you drag your finger nail across the blade, can the 'layers' be felt?
 
I totally agree. I'm a big fan of plain Ti with Damascus. I have a large with ladder that is my everyday hard user. I decided that if I was going to pay for it I had better use it. I also have a large Spiro inbound.

I couldn't help myself and just ordered a very cool unique graphic with basketweave yesterday. I looked at it about 500 times in the last month or so.
