I still have a lot of work to do but things are starting to shape up. The OKC KGA knife show is next weekend and I'm furiously trying to finish up a bunch of stuff. Here's a peek....not everything in the picture is finished

The bad part is, after all of this hard work (hard for me anyway) I may not be able to attend the show. I'm on standby to go to south Texas for relief efforts.

I can still show off some things I've made though. The last one is my first miniature. I'll spend more time on the finish on my next one.

Thanks for looking,
SDS

hey shawn,

I sure hope you don't go to TX. If you do, I'd be happy to assist by monitoring your table.

Let me know.

The mustang knife is AMAZING!!!!!!!!

take care,
Brett

Hey Shawn,

It's nice to see that Mustang has such good company. Those are either two very small hatchets or two very large knives...or both? I like that mini-blade, wish I could see up close and in hand. Maybe someday.

Good luck and have a blast!

Phil

Phil, there is still time to catch a flight over! You could come out for the weekend right?

Thanks for the compliments. Those are two very small hatchets. I was reading a thread about little axes in the W&S forum and it was late and....well, there you have two VERY small hatchets. They both have good cutting edges, I'm just not sure what you would use them for. They were fun though.

That miniature was my first attempt. Let's just say I learned a few things while making that one.

If you decide to fly into town for the weekend I tell ya what, I'll even put you up at my place. Deal??

SDS,

That's tempting, I assure you. But, alas, I'll have to pass this time. If I ever make it to the ABS school in Texarkana(?) are you fairly close by?

All the best, Phil

If you make it all the way to Texarkana from your place that is close enough that I'll make sure to make every effort to make up the difference in distance.

Let me know if your in this neck of the woods. Lots of great folks around here.

Thanks Keith. This is my first show so I'm a little nervous. I know a lot of the makers that are going to be there and they make some incredible knives. I just hope I don't get too embarassed by what I've made when compared to their knives.

I met shawn at the OKC show today. He's a nice fellow and makes a nice knife.

Thanks for the compliments. I had a fun first show and learned a lot.
