It is just over 2 weeks away.
The show is the Oregon Knife Collectors Association show on April 12 through the 15th.
I missed last year's show and have been hearing about it ever since.
This year I will have three tables on the back wall.
It has always been a fun show for me. In addition to all the people from here, there are several non computer people that I only get to see at the show.
Lots of people will walk up to me and start talking like we have known each others for years. We probably have, just never met in person.
So if I give you that "Deer in the Headlights" look, you might want to tell me who you are on the forums.
If you come to my tables and I am not there, but there are customers milling around. Just step around to the other side of the table and start waiting on people. Sell them something expensive and don't take any IOUs. Just teasing.
Brett Matthews will be sharing some space and bringing one of his grinders.
He doesn't know it yet but he will be covering for me when I go to the restroom, get something to eat, go out for a smoke or just want to look around the place.
I encourage anyone who can to attend the show.
It is not just custom knives. There are also a lot of collections of vintage knives there.
I have several batches of wood being stabilized that I will be getting ready for the show.
Plus I will be bringing a lot of really nice Natural Wood that has not been stabilized yet.
Seems like every show there will be a couple resellers who want to get a bunch of the untreated stuff.
...and not all of the wood ends up on knife handles.
I hope to see a bunch of you at the show.
BTW: I drink my coffee black and I will probably need a cup when you come by.
