Alone In The Wilderness Feb. 19th PBS.

Time to sit in front of the boob tube and get the VCRs warmed up. It's an excellent presentation.
 
Thats a great documentary he makes a sweet cabin all from hand tools. It is amazing how long he is up there for what was it like 30 odd years by himself. That would be an amazing experience
 
Hopefully I will see it this time! I have an amazing knack for forgetting when it's on. I'm gonna tape a sign on the front of my TV cabinet to remind me.
 
I think after a few years he would start having conversations with himself, what do you think? Yep a definet possibility, the worst part bould be telling jokes tho... 'cause you'd already know the puch line from having heard it before. Yep, I agree.

I've been checking the PBS web-site, and it appears that only my local WSIU pbs station is running it on that night.

I've bought lots of stuff from these guys. It's going to a good place.

If you're into the movie, check out the book "One Man's Wilderness" that Sam Keith wrote from Dick's journals. I've watched the movie over and over, but the book (like most) brings so much more insight and detail it's increadible. Well worth it.

I just bought the DVD, the book and the follow up DVD, "Alaska, Silence & Solitude"
Now I can't wait till they get here.
