This is one of my dad's sayings when you just stumble into a good thing.
Two weeks ago, I was thinking about what I was going to do for my 200 post giveaway and I was looking on ebay for a decent stockman to purchase to that end. Well, I found one, more about that shortly. I since decided to do the giveaway as currently posted because I want the knives in that giveaway to be used before they consume themselves due to celluloid deterioration.
Now back to the current subject. I found (on that auction site) a small Uncle Henry stock knife that was described as in excellent condition that had been cleaned and professionally sharpened. I bid on it and got if for a decent price. This was a knife confiscated by NTSA. When I got it, it had not been cleaned and had not been "professionally sharpened". What it was, was absolutely mint. It showed no signs of any use whatsoever to my eyes. The edges appeared to be factory edges as far as I could tell. It was almost as if the guy had bought it, taken it out of the packaging, and turned it over to airport security. It is a 834UH stockman.
Anyway, it was a bargain (USA made). Watch for it in a giveaway in the not too distant future.
Here are a few pictures.
