Yup. "The lead adds more strength to the steel". Wow. I wonder what I need to do to get lead in my blades? (I'm guessing something was lost in translation.)

Not only lost in translation,but also lost in editing.
The second video is half as long as the first & seems to be concentrated on the etching.

I loved seeing all the steps inthe first one.

The german video gives you the temperature & the time spend for the lead bath.
I just wish I understood it all.
