Is The Alox Bantam finally discontinued?
There were some to be found online but now the only ones I can find have tripled in price.

Alox Bantam has been discontinued for a while now. What about the Pioneer? The Alox Bantam is too thin, anyway.

I already have two of the Alox Bantam and a Pioneer (in fact selling one in exchange), Soldier, Farmers, Cadets....I don't need anymore I was just curious. Sometime in 2014 I bought 3 of the Alox Bantams for $20 each shipped. Now same vendor has them around $65.

According to SAKwiki.com

Based on availability it appears that the Alox Bantam was discontinued on 2009 or 2010, with inventory levels being extremely low and availability sparse in the first quarter of 2011.

In 2013, Victorinox made Cadet and Bantam special editions for Denmark in green and black Alox with a red Victorinox shield.

I found one dealer selling the Bantams online for DKK 210,00 ($32.66).

I had an alox bantam for a while. It was a great carry knife, and I may even go into how it was an outstanding carry knife. The only problem I had with it was when it came to using. It was a bit thin, and the combo tool had limitations. The alox cadet is much more knife/tool. The combo tool can't deal well with small phillips screws, but the small driver tip on the cadet can opener does well. And the pointed nail file tip of the cadet can take on very small phillips screws.

And they're still available!

But the bantam does carry well, and if you're planing a lunch of baguette and some nice cheese, and some cold brewski's, then a alox bantam is nice. If they ever bring back the alox bantam, they need to put the keyring back on it!!!

Those Bantam's sound awesome.

I got one just a few months ago on a popular shopping website. It cost a little extra to ship it from Europe, but was still quite affordable. Its now my dress clothes pocketknife.

Besides eBay any other place one could try to find the Alex bantams in black and free with red shields?

I do not believe the Bantam is discontinued. I am almost certain it is just not for sale in the United States anymore along with a handful of other models.

In Victorinox's 2015 catalog, the BANTAM ALOX 0.2300.26 has returned from retirement with the TINKER SMALL 0.4603, while the CHAMPION PLUS 1.6795.R has entered retirement. That Alox Bantam is silver.

That knife is a limited production Victorinox special for Denmark. No authorized Danish dealers have dealer memberships on Blade Forums, so I suggest using Google search and your imagination. You could send a PM or email to SwissBianco and ask if he has considered producing such a model.

I loved the Alox bantam. I've had quite a few over the years. The reason being.....I kept losing the darn things! They always found a way to slip out of my pocket. I still have one, but I don't carry it often.

Yes, I found the same thing. I have to carry mine in a leather pocket slip, especially in shallow dress pants pockets.
