Dows anybody have any experiance with this knife, I reall like the way it looks and the size of it. Looks like it would be a good EDC.:) Thanks

If its the folder, I think its just a smaller version of the 277 which I love. Very smooth opening. Someone else may know more.

I like it a lot as well, especially for skinning out deer; however, for all the mutiple chores that you expect an EDC to do, there are much better choices IMHO.

The Alpha Dorado is a very nice knife, rides in the pocket well and smoothly opens with one hand. Some might think it's a little small as a EDC, for me, it's typically a back up. ;)

I have two safe queens 271 Alpha Dorado's. Both I just bought at the last Spokane Gun show. I really collect only Big Tactical, Military Bucks with a FOCUS on the Buckmaster 184. I just couldnt resist as they just looked so nice.
One has a BOS 134 blade and Big Horn Sheep horn handles.
The other one has a BOS 154 Custom blade and giraffe bone. I think they are a really neat little knife. I was thinking of buying one more! The BCCI special 2006(I think this is the year) one as I have three sons. I need a sheath for the Sheep Horn one and will hopefully pick up one in a few weeks at BCCI event!

I have the rosewood handled one. I reach for it 80% of the time for EDC. I like the heft and the smooth opening. One day, I'll get the one from Eddie Bauer...Elk, if I recall.

I like the little Alphas.

The Elky is from LL Bean

I am rather fond of the Alpha Dorados, as my avatar will hint at. They are very well made and smooth right out of the box. I was so impressed with the Rosewood 154CM that I picked up a Bass Pro CPM154 version to keep it company. Great knives.

I like the dorados. I think they would make an excellent EDC
